Our goal is coffee that is not only grown in Africa, but whose value creation also happens there.

Coffee grows in Africa. Where is its value created?

The global coffee industry follows a clear pattern:

raw materials are created at origin, value is created somewhere else.

Africa exports world-class coffee in its rawest form, while the economically strongest steps of value creation happen elsewhere:

Roasted in Hamburg, Trieste, Antwerp. Packaged, branded, marketed, sold, all in Europe,
at multiples of the price the origin ever saw.

The farmer in Nyeri, Nandi Hills, or Machakos receives the raw commodity price. The brand price goes to someone else, thousands of kilometers away.

To this day, this system separates two things that should belong together: where value grows and where value is created.

We are turning that around.

SAVALION TRUE ORIGIN is building a new coffee system: processing, refinement, roasting, and brand where the coffee comes from.
